Dataran Merdeka, also famous as Merdeka Square, is Kuala Lumpur's most well-known structure, and the name has a lot of historical importance. On the fatal night of August 31, 1957, Malaya's Federation was declared independent from British authority. All Malayans were pleased when the flag was hosted on the 95-metre flagpole in the heart of Merdeka Square. Every year on the 31st of August, the Parade of Independence Day, a large celebration honouring Malaysia's independence from British control, takes place in Merdeka Square.

They were constructed in the 1990s, with work starting in 1992 and finishing in 1999. The Twin Structures were the highest architecture in the world at the time, and they retained that record for 6 years until being surpassed by numerous other towers throughout the globe. Therefore, the towers were created using traditional Malaysian weaving designs as well as Islamic designs and motifs. The Petronas Twin Towers have also appeared in Hollywood films, most notably "Entrapment, "By Catherine Zeta-Jones and starring Sean Connery.

The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, a finely constructed and preserved 19th-century structure, rises tall on Jalan Raja in Kuala Lumpur. It contains Malaysia's Ministries of Multimedia and Communications as well as Tourism and Culture. The amazing view of the buildings, when lighted at night, is the major draw. Sultan Abdul Samad Building is free for the public to visit and explore the corners due to its attractive beauty and architecture. It is one of Malaysia's most photographed structures, standing immediately next to the 41.2 metre-tall clock tower with a spectacular design, commemorating Malaysia's independence on August 31, 1957.

Yap Ah Loy, the city's Chinese Kapitan, created Central Market as a wet market in the period of 1888. It was a notable landmark in both colonial and contemporary Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Heritage Society petitioned successfully against the removal of the structure when the wet market was moved in the 1980s. Central Market Kuala Lumpur is now a well-known landmark and a popular location for visitors, shoppers, and art enthusiasts. The Central Market covers a distance of 5-minute walk from the KL City Gallery.
